PJ Bloom, music supervisor and owner of Black Magnetic Records and Publishing, caught up with Jonathan McHugh at the Guild of Music Supervisors State of Music in Media Conference at Emerson LA where he was in attendance to participate in a live Q&A. Bloom and McHugh discussed the Guild’s accomplishments, including the inaugural 2015 Conference, and the factors that make the music supervision field unique. Bloom is a music supervisor with a focus in television and a Guild of Music Supervisors Award-winner for his work on the TV movie The Normal Heart. He currently serves as the music supervisor for “American Horror Story,” “Scream Queens,” “The Americans,” “Banshee” and the upcoming “American Crime Story,” and “Quarry.” Music provided by Malcolm Kirby, Jr.
