NEW MEMBERSHIP POLICIES
THAT REQUIRE YOU TO UPDATE YOUR PROFILE
DEADLINE: WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1, 2022
We value you as a Member of the Guild of Music Supervisors.
In order to maintain the highest standards of membership, we have recently revised criteria and the membership renewal process.
Help us help you by giving us feedback and updating your online GMS profile today to prepare for the upcoming membership policies (detailed below)! All new policies go into effect June 1st and will affect your current membership on your next renewal date.
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO GMS MEMBERS
(does not affect Friends of the Guild)
1. PRIMARY MEDIAS
Your Primary Media(s) are needed in order to vote in the GMS awards. We’ve updated our media categories to reflect the awards categories (trailers/promos, documentaries, advertising, video games, film, television) so please update in your profile.
2. CREDIT UPDATES
GMS will soon require all members to update their credits every two years.* (NOTE: Credits cannot be updated via your membership profile. This must be done using a separate form which will be sent to you on your renewal date). If you have been a member for longer than two years, you can expect to receive a re-qualification credit-submission form upon your next renewal date starting June 1st.
3. ASSOCIATE MEMBERS
The Associate Level of Membership has changed. All Associate Members will now need to submit their credits/work history for membership approval and renewal.* Roles considered for Associate Membership are now limited to the categories linked here.
*All members’ requalification forms will be due on your next renewal date. Please be prepared to provide the last (4) years of work history. If you do not submit your form you will lose your membership status, automatically be enrolled as a ‘Friend of the Guild’ and be required to re-apply for membership. You will be notified of acceptance or rejection within one month of submitting your form.

1. Please make sure your contact details are current. Sign into your online profile to make sure all your details are up-to-date. (IMPORTANT NOTE: The information in your online profile is internal-facing only and won't be made available to the public.)
2. We’ve now added GMS US regions. To better serve our communities across the nation, please choose a region that best matches your interest and involvement.
3. We’ve added extras. Please check the bottom section of your online profile to answer new questions regarding membership perks!
