EMMY CELEBRATION OF THE TELEVISION MUSIC SUPERVISORS

The Guild of Music Supervisors celebrated its TV members at the London Hotel in Hollywood on Sept 12 in honor of the upcoming Emmy Awards. However, the question remains, when will music supervisors get their own category?

The event was hosted by Guild founding sponsors music publisher BMG Rights Management and music library APM Music as well as Sony/ATV Killer Tracks, Extreme Music and Four Jays Music. The Comet is the Guild’s official media sponsor.

Founded in 2008, the mission of the Guild of Music Supervisors is to preserve and recognize the skill set of the music supervisor, facilitate services such as health care and pension programs, and secure recognition from the film and music communities for their craft.
