Today, American Association of Independent Music will be presenting “Nashville – The Story Behind the Music” at their 2nd annual A2IM Nashville Licensing Day. The event will feature the music executives behind the smash hit ABC series “Nashville” such as Music Supervisor Frankie Pine, Russell Ziecker of Lionsgate Music and Allison Jones of Big Machine Records. They will discuss the synergy behind the hit show and the equally successful soundtrack album release. A2IM President Rich Bengloff will also present an A2IM Update.

The Guild of Music Supervisors is proud to congratulate many of our members for their work in numerous 2013 Emmy nominated shows!. Many of the multi-nominated shows like Breaking Bad, Glee, Homeland, How I Met Your Mother, and many others, are Guild members projects. The Emmys will be broadcast live Sunday, September 22, at 8 pm ET / 5pm PT on CBS.  Congratulations to ALL the Guild members for their amazing contribution to television this past year!

“Can TV Music Placement Save the Industry?” Good question posed by Rolling Stone. Guild member Chris Mollere weighs in:


“The music industry is in limbo right now,” he continued, “And I think film and TV placements are a really important part of the solution. Music supervision is going to be a very huge part of the music industry. We need to allow creative people to be creative and by using their music in television shows, everyone benefits.”
